Pride, Devotion and Society: from misery to prosperity, a look back over 40 years of Catholic processions in social Torino (1980-2018)
The processions of the Madonnas of the Consolata and of the Ausiliatrice 1980-2018. The project covers 40 years of social history in Turin (Italy), seen through the observation of the devotion of Catholics, manifested by the processions of the two main Catholic groups, Madonna dell’Ausiliatrice, of the Salesian, and the Madonna della Consolata.
Will the food save us from the techno-isolation? (2012-2018)
The project explores the isolation of individuals generated by the spread of technology and connection, in contrast to the conviviality and sociality induced by food.
The New York High Line:
the great beauty of the modern urban landscape (2009)
The project explores the relationship between the architecture of the NYC High Line, its being both “modernity” and an observation point of “the great urban beauty”.
The identity of a city is largely based on its popular food. New York recognizes the pastrami of Katz’s Deli and the frankfurters of Nathan’s Famous the living icons of its traditional food from over 100 years. These photos explore the life of these popular food landmarks.
The issue 162 of the international architecture magazine AREA is a monograph on the city of Buenos Aires. The section “Buenos Aires: portrait of the city” has been commissioned to Alberto Landi.

My name is Alberto Alfredo Landi, I have been shooting since I was a child in the sixties and I started with an AGFA bellows camera from a great-aunt.
I do documentary photography. Photography for me is a strong tool to understand, know and connect with what is around me and with my ideas and explorations. Investigate archetypes, symbols and signs in order to evoke situations and activate reflections in the people who view the images is the purpose.
In 2016 I founded REPERTA (www.reperta.org), a project that aims to connect photographs with their stories (the motto is “giving the photos some sense”).
In this current phase I am focused on representing theintermediate city between center and suburbs – and the relationships with symbols and people – that is, the interaction between individuals and places defined by human intervention and history in this special part of the city. All this in a space-time context.
